MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology

MAAT, the new Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, is an outward-looking museum located on the banks of the Tagus River in Belém, Lisbon. Blending the structure into the landscape, the kunsthalle is designed to allow visitors to walk over, under and through the building that sits under a softly expressed arch.
The main vertical structural elements are composed by variable curvate reinforced concrete with walls and cores, which define the various exhibition spaces. All roof and pavement structures of the main building are made of steel and composite structures.
